Dear brothers and sisters,
We have come to the end of our second week in Bangladesh and the halfway point of our adventure.
Mid-week, Tom and 4 students traveled north with Brother Peter to be part of a BSFB conference where they will be partnering and participating by praying and leading scripture study. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they travel back to Dhaka late tonight and as many of them are trying to overcome head colds and digestive problems.
The staff and students who remained in Dhaka spent some time this week preparing for MarkDhaka, A 2 day event we are hosting where BSFB students will come and spend time with us at Grace House and learn how to do Manuscript bible study. The Canadian students will be teaching in pairs and by the end of the two days we will have studied six sections from the Book of Mark! MarkDhaka will be happening this coming weekend, and we are getting more excited as it approaches and as we begin to think about how we will host people well.
Our team is beginning to settle into rhythms for the week. We find ourselves at placement during the mornings of Sunday-Thursday; then spend our afternoons resting and exploring pockets of Dhaka; then gather together at the end of the day for some teaching or team bonding activities. Fridays we go to church, and then later in the day spend time at the weekly BSFB meeting and Saturdays we try to keep the Sabbath by having a mostly unscheduled day so that students and staff can rest and recuperate at the end of a busy week. This Saturday we had the opportunity to join the staff at one of our placement locations, the SFC and play cricket with students from the Cricket Care Academy. We were hosted well by the SFC and the Cricket Care Academy; they were very patient with us as we learned and played the game with minimal proficiency. Each member of our team had an opportunity to bowl and bat during the game and had a lot of fun! I am attaching a few photos of us on the field.

I will send the next email in a week, just after we finish MarkDhaka. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we enter our third week in Bangladesh.
